I do not have any books to recommend. Most trucker short stories are found in magazines or on the Internet. Duke Doubler wrote "Riding With Roy" and it was serialized in about six issues of Old Time Trucks magazine. Back issues are available, but the cost may be prohibitive. Search for Diesel Gypsy on the Internet. His stories will keep you reading for hours, but they are not available in book form. "Denison's Ice Road" by Edith Iglauer would be a good book to own if you do not have it on VHS.

I am about to order one of Don McTavish's books from Amazon. He wrote "Big Rig Comic Tales from a Long Haul Trucker" and "Big Rig 2 Comic Tales..."
The following is his profile from Amazon:
"Legendary for his joke- and story-telling abilities, Don McTavish was employed in almost every aspect of the trucking industry from 1958 to 1995. Encouraged by family and friends to document his weird and funny trucking experiences, Don found a place for his stories in trucking trade magazine Highway Star where he writes a feature section entitled "This Ain't No Bull." Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Don McTavish is now retired and spends his time staying in touch with his friends and four grandchildren." -
thanks for the input i will go to amazon and check it out
