CDL School Question

Think long and hard about coming in at 21...been there done that better things to do with your life just saying.

 

Pay for CDL school on your own. That way you can go work anywhere you want. Put it on a credit card, borrow money from family. Whatever you gotta do. If you quit the company that helps you obtain your CDL before paying them back.....they can put it on your credit report that you defaulted on a loan. That will screw you for years.

Here in the Chicagoland area....CDL schools cost $1,500 to $3,000. Some guys from my school were from out of state just to save money on CDL school. Once you get your CDL in Illinois....its easy to transfer it to your home state.

 

Getting into trucking this way is not a good idea. The companies who will help you obtain your CDL are companies like CR England, CRST, Western Express, Carolina Cargo, etc. These companies will turn you into an indentured servant (SLAVE). The money you make wont even cover the cost of you being out on the road if you have to work for one of the bottom feeders and have no money saved up.


If I was in your shoes....I would join the military. So many lifelong benefits.
