So on my hunt to find out who operates in my immediate area, i drove by the Advance Auto Parts DC in my town and saw several CFI tractors parked outside of it. I did some research online and found out that they do have a home daily account with that facility. Only requirement that i don't pass for is a hazmat endorsement, but I'm very willing to get that, and have planned on getting it anyways at my current company.

Just asking if anyone has any information about this particular dedicated run. I know ADV has DC's all over so I can't imagine that this is the only location CFI has an account with Carquest for. I'm not too fond of mega carriers themselves but I've never really heard many horror stories from CFI. And to be honest, all i know about them is that they're based out of Joplin, run a bunch of T680's, and just got bought by Heartland Express, although I think CFI kept sole control of their dedicated divisions if I'm not mistaken.

If anyone has any information about this dedicated account and/or CFI themselves, it would be much appreciated.

I live in Salina. I didn't know CFI was in there hauling that stuff.

Apparently. I was cruising down Water Well to have a gander around Doug Bradley and happened to notice it.

The tractors are labeled TForce freight. But isn't that the company who owns CFI?

I spoke with them a few months back after the truckload side was bought out by Heartland. I spoke with recruiters from truckload and dedicated. It's my understanding that the CFI name/brand, along with the HQ in Joplin, is now owned by Heartland and the dedicated side is operating under TA Dedicated, which is owned by TFI International.

It took me a minute to find a number for them, 651-686-2500, and they didn't answer as CFI, but they did confirm it was them. They didn't even have the former CFI dedicated positions on the TA website at the time. Maybe they've got it sorted out now. Give them a call or check out their website.

Does heartland own the division that's known as CFIA? That division has reefer and dry van and has trailers that are UPS freight truckload.

I have no clue. I had Heartland on my short list (along with Marten Transport and Magnum) mainly because they're one of the few, if only, fleets i can think of that still has and actively buys manual tractors. But the mega carrierness drove me away from them.
