clogged doser isx

If the dozer has OVER 250k on her its time to replace the injector. They dont last to long past that before giving issues. Some good injector cleaner ran thur the system may help also as it feeds off ur fuel tanks.

 

And to think instead of paying 120 a week to do a forced regen you could have replaced the injector the egr diff pressure sensor imap sensor and the egr pressure sensor for about 700 and had a sweet running isx.

 

The guy told me to do a parked regen at the end of every day when the truck is nice and warmed up from running all day. About half the time it will do a parked regen and other times it won't because it just did a passive regen up on the road.

Also if you idle a lot that will clog it up too. If you must idle, bump it up to 1000 rpm so the injector can do its job better.

 

Get a laptop, cable, and insight software. So that you can do the forced regen yourself. Check out rawze on you tube. Lots of good instructional video's on how to diagnose, clean, remove, and replace emissions components on an ISX

 

My experience with an 09 isx proved cleaning the doser to be a waste of time and money, just replace it.
I had more than one shop point to the doser for a code reading for DOC face clog. If you have over 500k miles, it could need a DOC.

 

When my truck is idling it actualy disables the dozer, if it needs a regen it will pop a light and ask me to do a parked. But it wont do a passive why sitting there idling.
