The Kasier Foundation found that the only reason why 80% are fat dudes is because the FMCSA Study was flawed, they never tested skinny dudes. They found skinny dudes are just as likely as fat dudes to have it, thus the reason they recommended every CMV get tested when first being licensed. I was part of the study and I can hide behind 90% of the members on here, if not more. While weight sometimes has a bearing on it, they found that less than 27% had Apnea due to weight. They said they can predict with a 97% accuracy by measuring your throat opening what the outcome of your Apnea test will be.

 

While being overweight certainly is a symptom, there are plenty of thin people that have severe sleep apnea.

 

I don’t use the humidification.....mostly so I dont have to clean the cpap so frequently. The humid air is a bit warm, and I didnt care for that either.
