Old Cummins came in and needs overhead set. What are the injector specs? 11573369 NTC444

As best I recall they came with a little L shaped tool bolted to the water rail. Slide that in above the injector and adjusted like a top stop. That was super seeded by torque method which I prefer. All rockers on the same cylinder adjusted at the same time. I was questioning the injector torque that I recalled and searched the net which brought me back to TR. Search block top right ( 444 , STC injector overhead adjustment and such). Pup answered most all of it. We were torqueing 365's to 110 inch pounds as I recall. There were many of them and few 444's here.
We were screwing around with them trying to get a little bit more. Tighter gained no power and looser made them smoke like a late model NTC 400 on cold start. They also pulled no better. If you find no specs for your CPL I would go with Pups 90 inch Lbs. If it smokes more than before go to 105 per Pup.
A friend of mine worked a Cummins. I know the local shop went to the torque method and he is the one that told me how the do that.
Double check all that as it has been a long time.

The L shaped tool is no longer used. Cummins said to use the outer base circle method to set them using a torque wrench on the injectors.
The valves are .014" for intake and .027" exhaust. Set the injector to 80 InLbs.
