At least it didn't run over innocent bystanders or other motorists...he must have been in the small truck for training

Boondock, Pamela1990 and Val_Caldera Thank this.

If he was out delivering on foot, why didn't it roll away right off the hop? Wonder if it started in gear while he was working on it?

    Boondock and Pamela1990 Thank this.

I was gonna say the reason why it didn’t start in the first place was it WAS NOT in park!

Poor driver paid a high price for being careless.
I hate to admit it but I went under the hood of my car, its auto tranny tho, cuz I turned the ignition key and nothing happened. I checked the battery cables tuned the key again nothing!!! Look down at the gear lever there it sat in drive:oops:.

Boondock, Pamela1990, mjd4277 and 2 others Thank this.

Driver might have wanted some Time Off (and was repeatedly refused) and may have "thought" such activity a good idea.
Whether or not "thought up", Time Off garnered.

Always seemed like neutral safety switches were the first thing to be disabled when you hot rodded a car back in the day. Almost every 30-50 year old “muscle car” i’ve come across has been that way.

    Boondock and Pamela1990 Thank this.

It’s possible that neutral safety may have malfunctioned. It rarely happens but it can’t be ruled out.

    Boondock and Pamela1990 Thank this.
