Dot numbers only, on both sides.
JoeyJunk, Rideandrepair, Bean Jr. and 2 others Thank this. -
it would be a good idea to put the last six of the VIN. i remember a few states like colorado its either required or theyll pull you in the the weight station more if you dont have the VIN. stuff like the KYU number and the ICC its not required either but id check with your state your based in directly to see whats required because thats really the main thing you need to follow.

DOT numbers on both sides, you no longer need the MC number on the truck.
-
Look at the big companies. They put as little as necessary. I used to have our Illinois PUC number, but my most recent, company name, DOT number, that's it.JoeyJunk Thanks this.

I have the same thing as well. Just my company name and dot number
-
I thought CO trucks needed the vin but out of state you were just told to come back in with paper work, I have dot and Mc on the truck with the name but I guess you don’t even need mc any more

That reminds me about assigned truck and trailer numbers. As far as regulation goes I don't even think they're required. When I called my DOT they said it wasn't. now IDK probably just depends on what you'll be doing with the truck. I was considering taking my truck number off because i dont like the placement on the hood and also I'd rather have less decals. As far as display purposes go.

If you ever load over a scale you want a number so they can save the truck, not required for DOT though
Diesel Dave Thanks this.
