Draining Power Steering Fluid

    Should I assume that the bolt head at the bottom of the pump is used to drain the fluid? Or am I completely off base here.

    That bolt will drain the oil only from the gearbox, your going to have oil left in your high pressure and low pressure line from your reservoir so oil is gonna come out when u take out a line

    This isn't a Freightliner but I don't imagine it makes much difference. I would think pulling the lines, starting the engine and clocking the steering wheel should do the same for any pump. We'll see...
