When are these cameras activated while driving. Are you not allowed to eat, drink, or touch your phone or gps at all?

Can't touch the phone for text to talk or start an audio book?

 

It all depends what your employer’s company policy is regarding phone use.

 

Make no mistake, don’t let the company safety dept. blow sunshine up your butt, the cameras are always on if the ignition is on.

 

Employers have different policies regarding what constitutes distracted driving. Some don't allow eating, drinking, smoking or vaping, spitting, nose picking, sneezing, coughing, scratching, adjusting the radio, reaching for a Kleenex, or holding or manipulating any electronic device(cell,GPS laptop, or tablet).
It really depends on the company which of the above isn't allowed.
They can also access the cameras to look in on a truck, or driver anytime they see fit, again how often they do this and to whom really depends on the company.

They tell you cams only activate during events such as hitting a pothole. But they lie. There are random recordings as well as some that allow them to watch you in real time.

They tell you they are for safety. But that’s also a lie.

The purpose is to keep you subservient and compliant and make sure you are treated like a sub human moron that needs to be monitored like a baby in a crib.
