So there was a a few small scratches and a hit in the center divider and a shop repaired it and left it looking like this. How can I fix it so it matches the factory shinny look. It’s flat and dull right now.

Paint aside that looks like a pretty #### repair job. Looks like they just put some body filler in over the gouge and rattle canned it. Didn't even bother to replace the damaged rivets either.
rollin coal and Judge Thank this. -
Looks like they completely missed one rivet.AModelCat Thanks this.

That's what I mean. Just ground it down and body filled it all.

Yeah I agree, I was really pissed off. But there’s nothing I can do now they aren’t giving me a refund so I’m left to get it fixed again. I was thinking about of getting a new center piece. See image. Will painting it gloss white match the stock look? What are my options. How much would it be to replace both panels ?

If you replaced both panels you'd still notice. You'd have two whole panels that don't match rather than that one spot.

Oh okay makes sense, I guess I’ll just wash it and then go over the spot with some gloss white and clear coat and go from there. -
Yeah it’ll be difficult due to match the entire color due to fade.
Our parts store/paint store had a guy who could use a deal and get color code from things. Maybe that’d help. Try to match it, but he was a painter and a good paint mixer.Last edited: Feb 18, 2026
Reason for edit: It changed paint to pants…?wsuhottboi Thanks this. -
Did they really just slap bondo in that sand & paint? The only proper way to fix that, imo, is to replace the post.
AModelCat Thanks this.
