I got pulled over in the company rig for speeding through Wind Cave National Park. I was flying like the wind. lol No. I thought the speed limit was 55 when it was actually 45. So I was clocked at 62 in a 45. The officer who pulled me over was a federal cop? When he handed me the ticket he said "if I mail in the $100 dollars within a month, this wouldn't go against my cdl. As if it never happened". Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?

Do I need to report this citation? Will it show up on a DMV report?

Well, if you were going through a National Park and got pulled over by a law enforcement ranger, then yeah, he is a federal law enforcement officer.

Now, how that works when it comes to a speeding ticket, I don't know.

Nope, it will not show on your DMV. My wife got 2 in one week. She's clean as a whistle on her DMV.

Unless you fail to pay it. And that is the last thing you want to do...fail to pay it LMAO.

Our Mayor was arrested "in office" by US Marshals for failure to pay hers. Funniest #### I ever heard. They took her ### all the way to jail. Then let her call someone to come get her.

Once you fail to pay. You ARE going to jail. You might not sit for long. But you are going there.

Thank you for the good news danc694u. If I had gone another 1/8th of a mile, I would have been out of the park where the speed limit was posted at 65. I haven't had a ticket in twenty two years and thought my luck finally ran out. Still might have a little luck left, but certainly one expensive warning. I'll take it.

I'm writing the check this weekend!!

    Thanks

I have to admit, most of the Park Rangers I have dealt with around here are some great guys.

A tip for you and anyone else that may take a trip through a Federal Park.

If the guy on the lawn mower/bush hog or any other piece of equipment is wearing a uniform, and flags you down. Yer gittin a ticket LOL

They don't always pull squad car duty :biggrin_25525:
