Yo guys what are these contractors like??
Whats the starting rate at these contractor gigs??
I got a job offer from a fedex ground contractor. Some russian/slavic guy.
He's asked for 12 mos or 6 mos with certificate
60 hr clock or 70 Im assuming 60 cuz listing was Monday-Friday.
Just looking for more detail/info.
Any job with weekends off is a relief at this point cuz I'm gettin 1 day off after 15 days or smthn right now with le postal contractor.
Attaching screenshot of job posting if it helps.

If it is not a W-2 job with benefits - walk away.
austinmike, truckdriver31, FlaSwampRat and 2 others Thank this. -
I've always heard some of the FedEx contractors are great and others are terrible. You need more info to know if it's a good place to work. I suggest you speak to other drivers working for the contractor and ask them about the details of working and getting paid. YOU SHOULD NEVER RELY ON ADS.FlaSwampRat, motocross25, Suspect Zero and 1 other person Thank this.

Some good some are a horror show. I'd ask what the route is - I80 from Gary to Cleveland and back? I'd shoot myself if I had to run that 5 days a week pulling triples.
Gonna be a 64 or 65 mph truck.tscottme Thanks this. -

Yes if that’s 1099 with no benefits then that guy is absolutely hosing any prospective drivers. Don’t fall for it out of desperation either. Will not be worth your time.
FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
Just read that reply from you. Yes that’s a 1099 gig and not worth your time.FlaSwampRat Thanks this.
