I’m buying a reefer and I need to put 2 rows of etrac on each side, do any of you have a short cut or can tell me how to screw the etrac to a stud in the wall?
Thanks

Aren't the wall panels riveted to the studs?
-
Inside the trailer is glued plastic wall sheet. Stud finder from Walmart will do the job.JLT Thanks this.

Stud finder from lowes just like a house studfinder. Wave it along the wall until it beeps twice. First this side and second that side. The middle is the heart of your stud.
Farmerbob1 and JLT Thank this. -

Be careful. Reefers like foam etc. You really don't know what you are getting into inside that wall. Think maybe one inch thick coarse screws.
I would prefer not to mess with the walls at all. They have to hold the integrity of the box overall and there really isnt much.
I am not here to be a negative nelly, I just approach the problem with a intent to avoid problems.Snailexpress and JLT Thank this. -
I don't think you're going to find any studs per se. I think all you want is to use specialized anchor screws to go in and grab the inside wall skin. You don't want to violate the integrity of the wall any more than possible and create conductive points with a bunch of screws that will conduct the cold/heat toward the outside of the trailer.
Snailexpress Thanks this. -
Need to know which side posts are on the trailer. Some have very little area to screw/rivet to on the inside.

Ignore all this useless reply's so lets start
1. Go outside that trailer and find rivets holding side panel that is your solid point and measure them and you do same from inside
2. Your trailer walls actually will be more solid and stronger with etracks not bend that much from pallet pushing
