    Have to get it scanned to see which code pops up. It could be numerous things ie DEF fluid froze, box sensor or other sensor etc

    Regens aren't a magic cure-all for the emission system. In fact, regeneration has zero to do with the SCR system (the catalyst that uses DEF).

    Just had it scanned, SCR Catalyst lamp has been on for 6 months but I've ignored it, because no loss of power. But apparently my DPF is clogged and needs to be taken out and be put in a cooker. This will supposedly get rid of that SCR Catalyst code as well. Hope it works

    A 1/2 gallon of extra oil ain’t gonna do swat..........I have run my cat like that for 30 years or more... everything else I run to the full line.

    To be honest I'm not sure because I bought this truck at 467k miles

    Call the dealer where you got the truck or a Freightliner shop - give them the engine ID number and ask them if they could look up when the DPF was last serviced.
