Break the seal, inspect how they loaded the trailer. If they loaded it with any common sense your fine. If the stuff obviously is going to fall I'd just restack a few boxes myself so it's stable.mathematrucker Thanks this. -
Star employee !

You're going to need 2 sheets of plywood to secure that load

It him or Frida Lay, but Frida was busy and couldn't sign most of the time....

I think the only thing Frito Lay drivers do is place one of those hoop-style load locks near the top.

No seal-breaking required for the Frito Lay preloads I haul...shipper leaves them unsealed until you leave. Unfortunately, common sense tells the shipper to load all the way to the ceiling until the freight runs out instead of dropping the height by one case a little ways back from the nose to make the freight reach all the way to the doors. Why? Because if for some reason they decide to add more cases later, they can just put them in the rear without having to move anything back towards the nose. It makes for a stupid-looking pattern that begs the freight to tumble, but there's a method to that madness.Last edited: Apr 27, 2023
stevep1977 and gentleroger Thank this. -
They used to seal the trailers with temporary seals while the loaded trailer remained onsite then they resealed it at the gate. Must have changed in the past 6 years., or hauling system freight out of there versus dedicated might be different.mathematrucker Thanks this.

Different plants do things differently. Most of them still do temp seals or zip ties with the "real" seal on the floor inside.stevep1977 and mathematrucker Thank this.
