Replacement Filters - Fassriderank Thanks this. -
Avg filter is 10 micron. Any smaller and you restrict flow.
rank Thanks this. -
Sure did. It was s 10 micron. Thanks Mack

The factory filters on my 6.7 Cummins are 10 mic at the fuel/water separator, and 2 mic at the filter.
Bigger engines may be different though....rank Thanks this. -
My supplier switched to Baldwin a while back and I’ve been noticing a restriction on the gauge. Thought it might be the filter

Good link - thanks Mack!

I run the south a lot and down there a lot of the fuel is b20 biodiesel blend and I'm lucky to get 4000 miles and my Davco filter is all the way to the top.
I use the Detroit brand fuel filters.rank Thanks this. -
I use a 50 micron in my Davco and the 1r-0749 on the motor is a 2 micron.
-
If your Davco is just a primary, use a larger micron rating. I almost exclusively run the south with a 50 micron in my Davco. I change it once a year.
The Cat filter on the motor lasts between oil changes usually (18,000). If I notice my fuel pressure creeping a little too high, I change it a bit earlier.
