That road is a 65' California legal route, and the last stretch from Panamint Springs to the 136/190 junction has a 30' king pin to rear axle restriction, so it seems likely he was headed westbound from 127 at Death Valley Junction rather than eastbound from 395.

So is there a market for bees in Death Valley, or was this guy just taking a GPS shortcut?

My guess is he probably headed out of Beatty and was cutting across toward Mojave, either on accident or intentionally avoiding the Ag check on 15 south of Vegas. He could’ve missed the turn in Beatty and decided to just keep going, also.

    Bud A. Thanks this.

It’s amazing how may bee haulers are involved in accidents

considering what a tiny percentage they are of the trucking business

What is the percentage of bee hauler accidents compared to rest of drivers?
