Take your truck to the Werner shop and tell them it wont stay running. You need to take that rock and put it on the accelerator pedal, once the RPM's are over 1,000 I've never had a truck shut off. I had a Volvo with an ISX, it would shut down with my foot on the clutch, on the brake and with parking break pushed in. It wouldn't shut off with the accelerator pedal to the floor. You can take a stick or weight and set it on the throttle. Tell us how it works.

Well next time your in a terminal tell the shop you can't get it to idle and for them to check the programing. If they say it is good have them show you how to work it. That is what I did. If you keep using that rock and your ldle % is too high for too many weeks they will turn your truck down to 61 from 65. They did that to another driver I know.

Have you tried setting the trailer brakes and releasing the tractor brakes?

It's going to be forward facing near the bottom of the radiator. Look for a flex loomed cable with the hood open. Most trucks will idle away with that sensor unplugged.
