They're top- heavy. The locking pins are so simple a caveman can do it. If you're aware that the equipment is ####ty and do a pretrip, and drive like you're aware they're top heavy, then any CDL driver can handle it.
-
Do you think it would be hard from them to learn the procedures of the rail yards?
-
The only requirement is u have to have a green Volvo with a white hood and a grey front bumper being held on by baling wirestillwurkin, bzinger, ChicagoJohn and 4 others Thank this.

They also steal the lights off of other chassisRERM, ChicagoJohn and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

I used to carry a back pack full of lights. (I took them from bad order chassis) Nothing worse then picking up a can from a customer only to find the chassis was picked over by vultures and is missing every single light.

I am one of those who did not recieve very much training. They point to a box, hand paperwork and say take it to dundalk or seagirt etc. It goes on the ship. 4 corners hooks, alcohol permit (Seagrams Baltimore from the port) and US Customs in particular.
D.Tibbitt Thanks this.
