I have about 2 years experience, I have been on here before reading articles. I have just recently set up an account, I like the information that I read here. I currently drive OTR Van, my true desire has always been tankers. I had trouble finding the specialty I wanted, and I also thought I needed 2 years experience. Information I have attained here has helped me with learning about companies, also brought me to the fact I really need to get my hazmat. I appreciate the comments \ posts I read, I appreciate you taking the time.

Some tanker outfits you don't need hazmat, such as Indian River Transport.

I believe I have tried them in the past, I have a felony I'm not convicted of, but plead guilty. I believe the issue was it needs to be 7 or so years old. It's just coming up on 7 towards the end of year. I want a company I'm going to be happy with and I know I will be happier with dry bulk. I have checked into mostly all the companies you have listed in the tanker forum. My issue is for one reason or another, I have had 6 different jobs in 3 years. I get hesitant to apply to some companies because pf that

Some companies bend their rules on felonies.
Have you tried Bulkmatic?
Wiley Sanders Trucking has some dry bulk trailers.
SouthernAg Carriers has a few dry bulk trailers. -
The felony I don't typically have an issue with, because im not convicted. There is certain companies i have dealt with that do. I did check out those companies, there was something inside of me that told me, that job stability would be an issue..

I don't understand the job stability question. I've done dry bulk and saw those Bulkmatic trucks all the time on the road and places I delivered. I think you have to live within 50 miles of a terminal. One of their drivers I talked to at Bisquick in Kansas City said he makes around $65K. He was driving a decent sleeper truck.

Job stability = job hop, haven't found a company that is working out for me. I've had it counted against me, hiring requirements on some, want a steady work history.

Pleading Guilty = conviction. You may try and mitigate it by saying you pled guilty, but at the end of the day you are convicted of a felony, a plea versus a trial with conviction is the same, and should have been explained to you when you pled.TROOPER to TRUCKER Thanks this.

I am quite aware of how it was explained, Georgia has a first offenders law, I plead guilty, I'm not convicted, it's listed as that on my background check. It really doesn't matter, I have only had an issue about it with 2 companies
