So picture this. I come back to my truck with a sub and begin eating it. I am vaguely aware that the truck to my immediate left has two people in it. Presumably a trainer and trainee. As I'm eating a truck enters the truckstop and sets up to park to the trainer truck's immediate left open spot. Guy is obviously set up poorly and looks to me from way over 2 spots over like he is going to hit this trainee truck. he inches back inches back, yep imminent collision very soon. Trainee truck lays on air horn. At this point I'm thinking "really?" why not get your lazy self out and spot the poor guy. Trainer and trainee still sitting in their truck waiting to be hit rather than help the guy back up. So I get out in the 110 degree heat and walk over and start spotting this poor guy and trainee and trainer keep on sittin in their truck. Get the guy safely backed in and go back to my truck to finish my snack shaking my head.

Don't feel bad. I had to get my pickup truck towed to a Ford dealer a couple weeks ago, and I had to back the rollback in a spot for the guy so he could set it down.

I tried to help a guy backup at a shipper today.
Told him he had to set up again. No way he was going to make it the way he was setup.
Guess that was to much he asked someone else to back it in for him.G13Tomcat and scottied67 Thank this. -
I was gonna help her till I noticed the dirtbag in the pass seat .

I definitely get out and spot a driver having trouble backing next to me. A lot less trouble than having to deal with damage to MY truck. We've all been there when first starting out and a few well spoken words and advice go a long way to helping a new driver. I know I was helped by a few seasoned drivers and was extremely thankful to these guys that helped me when I was without experience and support from my company, (CRE). Insert chuckles here. As far as helping the driver not in danger of hitting MY truck, I've only done it twice at very tight docks, so kudos to you SCOTTIED67. The industry needs more drivers such as you. As a driver who once once nervous entering truckstops wondering how I would park, I say thank you.
