Does your company take these calls seriously
Will this go on your safty report ?

The company I work for dont take these calls seriously when these calls come in they over exaggerate the truth about what happend cutting off a car or or just breaking some driving laws

The only time these calls are helpfull is in when a strap is lose, toolbox door open/backdoor open or just something wrong with the truck except for my last time I got called in on.

    Please tell your stories

The last time I got called in on is when the light turned yellow I had to stand on the brakes and the trailer tires locked up smoking the tires I was empty the person calling said I was driving down the road with the tires locked up.

    My company takes them serious.

But they also review the information on hand, before interviewing the driver for clarification.

Last one called in, that I'm aware of. Was called in for "deliberately" harassing the driver of a car.

The 4 wheeler facts were, the driver would speed up and slow down at periods that affected the driver of the car and his ability to pass.

    The actual facts:

GPS showed the truck to be on that route, during that period.

Bills indicated the driver was pulling a load of paper roll stock. Top heavy :D

Road conditions were such, that the driver was required to slow way done for sharp turns on that route. Then he would accelerate in the straights.

Safety dismissed it as just another day in paradise. No action taken against driver. Driver of car was notified of the conditions that existed at the time, and the reasons the events took place.

And the world turns another round.....again.

I default to 911 but only in extreme cases unbias to the type of vehicle. I was tempted to report a little Toyota hopping lanes left and right even at 20MPH tail gating everyone and cutting anyone off in sight but a cop pulled out just then and that guy quickly thought twice about continuing.

For commercial vehicles there has been a few times I wanted to call in to report the driver doing something exceptionally good.
