LETS STOP FOR A WEEK

*sigh*

 

Not happening. There will always be a hungry driver ready to take a load.

Trying to get 10 million drivers to stop for a week across America is like pushing a very large string. It's not going to happen.

Me suggests to you to get out of that rig, take your precious week off in a secluded and beautiful place of peace and quiet. Kind of hard to remain angry when you are sitting in paradise.

 

That will never happen.

 

While on that week off...maybe bone up on Grammer and logic?

Jus'sayin'.

 

I stop for a week. It's call paid vacation.

 

I will stop until they pay me above $3/mile.

I'm working.

 

Cali, ( & I'm a born & raised SoCal, CentralCal, & Norcal boy, bona-fide )..my experience w/brokers is;
1.) 3 honest, straight-shooters. No problemo, everybody happy. I called if problem...they called if problem. Done.

2.) 2...used car salesmen...& not very good salesmen. I...smarter/better businessman than they. Me fix problem.
Done...me & consignee happy.

3.) Jack wad liar, knew all potential and real problems associated w/load. Not Anywhere around as load went to poop.

Fixed everything on ALL LOADS!!!!# MYSELF.
ie; how to irritate a DM. You tell me "coordinate" w/a broker...I do. Don't jam ME up later for doing your job.

My grammar and logic is a bit off most people's BigPerm. I'll take a moment to explain.

Im born deaf, three months early should be dead but the billing incurred by 6 months care would take both parents three life times to pay, so they ripped it up and threw it away.

I had no language and lagged behind all other children until 7 years of age. They assigned me to Columbia school for deaf in Maryland and taught me Sign Language. Once I had the ABC's Numbers and everyone's names, I started to build a language directory that first month. Then a speech pathologist was assigned to me for 4 years to beat some spoken english into me. Learning to write english was already taken care of by granny in what we call home school today, in cursive no less. Some of my test papers administered by the state had Pass, Fail, Not expected. Well. Cursive writing was not expected.

Anyway. Here is a sentence in Normal English.

Daddy, Im taking Susie to go watch a movie and dinner tonight.

Here is a sentence in American Sign Language based on a chinese syntax...

Pa, Me, Suzy Movie; Eat later.

And done. You can pack so much more information using Time, space, past tense, forward tense -future and establish three seperate paths in front of you to talk about multipule subjects at the same time. To one person I might talk to dad about movie and dinner, Suzy might be asking about the movie title while brother Bill would be asking me about my conquest of Suzy.

All of that going on at once requires a mind that can operate multipule problems at once.

No wonder my english writing goes to #### often online. WHen pressed for time I would butcher the American english with all the little punctuation and crap, discard it for the cleaner and much faster battle talk of sorts and make conveying information very fast. Sometimes when pressed for time as probably 9 seconds before hitting someone in his or her car with my 18 wheeler, I would think in ASL and run down my options very quickly. Most of the time I just reach a decision, drag the speed to around 28 mphs or less and then slam that truck and trailer around the car. Miss him or her by this much. If you take time to think, someone is going to get really hurt sometimes.

Online writing, as you can see what with Laughing Out Loud becomes LOL or Twitter and facebook dumbing peoplke down (I had FB for three years. I threw it away because they are consistently anti American, not patriots and non-support of the US Consitution in particular. They can stick that Zucky Payroll up the ###. It's dumbing the people far worse than I can tolerate sometimes. I thought I was stupid.
