I contacted WCS, they quoted $38 plus state permit for each state. We will need to be permitted in AL, TN, GA, FL. They told me if he runs from TN to FL that $38 x 3 plus state fee. I haven't contacted anyone else yet. Don't know what the going rate is and who is good at timely delivery. I've done standard trip permits myself but it's a nightmare in NM. Any recommendations?
Looking for a decent OS permit service

I would contact OOIDA and see what they can do on prices. Not sure if they are cheaper or not since never used them for that stuff. But they did a good job setting up my account for OR.D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

$25/permit and intelligence that comes with it. I send her a Christmas present every year.
‘The Permit Company’ - I use the Dallas office. Jen or Kelly.
Have your ducks in a row if you call -
They have offices in all time zones too. You know how useful that is.Pirate_Freder, Concorde, wulfman75 and 5 others Thank this. -
U have your own numbers? You can do it yourself

I'll second 'The Permit Company '. (Haven't had to get an oversized permit in years though, so take it with a grain of salt).
I used them quite a bit at my first employer, until I had an account set up with Penndot. I'd do my own permits for PA, the The Permit Company for anything else.Pirate_Freder, Tb0n3, blairandgretchen and 1 other person Thank this. -
My company that I’m leased on to increased their permit rate from $15 to $30 last year. I started getting quotes online and from truckers report and my calls the best rate I received as well as the quality of the agent I talked to was Permit Wizard. They quoted $17 per state and now I see you stating $38 per state! They have doubled their price in 1 year? Maybe mention this to them and get a discount? Most of the online permits are focused on getting that pilot car referral. I’m not sure exactly how that works (the referral part). But if you need just standard permits, keep shopping around; and if you only have a few states, you can do it online yourself once you have your axle spacings down.
I probably have an oversize permit for all 48 states. If you need one as an example just ask and I can send it to you. Please keep in mind I’m just a flatbed and not rgn multi axle.Pirate_Freder and truckintheroad Thank this. -
Permit Wizard is owned by WCS.
When I did a lot of OD loads, I opened accounts at the state level. Bought annual permits when it was cost effective.Pirate_Freder, truckintheroad and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
Who did you end up deciding to go with? How did it go?

Go to the state websites and order them yourself...... there is at least one state(Pennsylvania) that you have to jump through hoops to get an account....thats the only state I dont have my own account with.
truckintheroad and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
If I remember oklahoma was a quite a pain too. Had to print off a bunch of papers and have them signed and notarized... couldn't even order thru a permit company and get around that. Seemed unnecessarynikmirbre Thanks this.
