After bed bugs from a knights inn in SC we use CLC and pretty much only stay at Holiday inn express , $50-80 per night, always truck parking and an awesome breakfast

I have stayed at too many motels to count in the past year. I just got a sleeper truck about a month ago so no more motels.

Company had a $60 per night limit using CLC and I stayed in some really nice ones and a couple of dumps. I would try to stay at the chains like Days Inn, Best Western, Holiday Inn (and Express), etc.

The nicer ones were Holiday Inn Express in Sulphur Springs, TX, Holiday Inn Wichita Falls, TX, La Quinta Pharr, TX and even the Rodeway Inn Ardmore, OK depending if you get one of the remodeled rooms. All at less then $60 a night.

Dumps were Days Inn Midland, TX, Americas Best Value Inn Van Horn, TX and a really nasty place was Americas Best Value Inn Garland, TX.

I have come to the conclusion that all of the chains are hit and miss. Some of the Super 8's and Days Inn (sister companies) refuse to give me a receipt for my stay. I tried to explain to them that I need a reciept to turn in with my expenses but to no avail. Even got into a yelling match with the manager of Super 8 in Longview, TX about the receipt.

Almost got into a fight at the Budgetel Inn in San Antonio. I was turning into the parking lot (taking up the 2 lanes of the access road) when some idiot in a Mustang pulled in front of me and blocked me from entering. When I was finally able to get to the front desk I was greeted by a ghetto queen so I decided to go to the Red Roof Inn where I normally stay in SA.

Dont know if this link will work, but this is a link to my lodging reviews on Trip Advisor. http://www.tripadvisor.com/members-reviews/FtWorthChuck

Most recently, a lot of hotels I've stayed at I was bobtail so my options increased dramatically.
I only remember a few I've stayed at with a trailer attached.

Camelot Inn, I think it was York NE. The Petro is across the street but this place has it's own restaurant with prime rib on Friday and Saturday. (which was great, btw). Big truck parking lot. Big hotel. Old style system with actual keys and not a plastic card for room entry. Laundry room. Restaurant and lounge. I think they're closed for the season right now, they have a website. I would stay there again if I was in the area, no doubt. Decent rates and friendly staff.

There is a Super 8 on I-75 north of Cincy and "Touchdown Jesus" that had a decent truck parking lot and a McDonald's across the street. It was fair to decent, I've stayed there a few times.

There is a Super 8 north of Wichita KS at the same exit for a small truck stop. Actually I think the Super 8 is next door to the truck stop and then there's a McDonald's next to the hotel. Truck parking was along the side street between the hotel and McD's, that was decent.

There is a Best Western in Emporia KS down the street from the Flying J that advertises truck parking but it was a little iffy. Best part of that stay was they had an indoor pool. :)

I've parked bobtail at the LaQuinta on Post Rd in Indianapolis many times since our terminal is nearby. Great location with a 7-11, Denny's, Steak n Shake, Wendy's and Cracker Barrel all within walking distance.
There is a Super 8 across the highway (I-70) at the same exit that has truck parking but it's more dumpy, but..it's cheaper. They have been renovating it but the bed bugs rumor is still flying about that place. It has a gas station and a Jack in the Box within walking distance.

Of course nothing can compare to the Hampton Inn I stayed at near Greensboro NC. Ahh, luxury! Except they had no laundry room. Lame! Again, I only bobtailed to that one.
