I have the Aero Moto Mirrors, they don't seem to be heating up as well as they should be after 14 years. I bought the replacement which comes with new glass as well. They are saying I have to remove the rivets on the mirror to replace the glass and heating element. It seems as if the mirror can be pried out along the rubber edge. Has anybody ever replaced theirs? Any tips, hints, or tricks?

That particular model looks like 8-2366. I needed one last year. They were not available. Freightliner couldn’t get a quote and still can’t. Peterbilt out in middle of state was able to give me an outrageous quote. I ended up using a cheap aftermarket from Freightliner. Works very well. I got one from the junkyard but cut the cord too dang short.
My drivers side was damaged recently and the housing and gasket are bent. It appears you can pop it out but I haven’t tried. The truck is currently 40 miles away in a shop so I couldn’t try anyways.blairandgretchen and TheLoadOut Thank this. -
Mine are the older style - heated, swivel, and a light on the front side.
Waiting for a response from Moto-Mirror as to whether you can rebuild them, (mine have quit turning - you can hear the motor but it fails to turn ).
Peterbilt in Joplin has the whole unit for $265/each, so I may just get new units.
Anybody had any luck rebuilding the mechanisms?JoeyJunk and TheLoadOut Thank this. -
I cracked my mirror a couple of days ago as well. Having a hard time trying to find the glass replacement. Where did found yours ?
