What the did is make dozens of phone calls and left dozens of phone messages,, even if they thought they had no chance at all of being hired.
One of them had 12 fender benders and tickets and was hired by a single truck owner-operator making back to back produce runs to California.

Some household goods movers hire "driver helpers" and sometimes they are OTR jobs.
You won't drive, but you'll have a paying job.
New World Van Lines sometimes hires driver helpers and a few others do also.

 

How about Carolina Cargo or Trans Am they used to be 2nd chance companies.
