hey guys, been around reading a lot of stuff here but never posting. Driving for about 4 years doing local work. But gettin tired of basic delivery and 2 wheeling product in. I always wanted to drive state to state but never had the chance yet. Got laid off this week and all i been doing is calling and applying to new jobs. So i said what the heck why not start off regional work and see how i like it. But lots of these big companys would not count my local work as experience to do any regional work or even otr. Most of them told me they want me as a student first to me "retrain" before they sent me out. Found some small company that didn't mind it. Hopefully by next week I'll be back on the road again. Sitting at home kinda suck.

Where is your location.? Lots of good companies that run regional. Move your question to "Experienced Drivers" thread & you can get some good leads.
