I have a 2014 cxu613 with an mp8, noticed my mileage restarts every day to what I started with. So I start at the same mileage everyday, it counts it throughout the day, but then again the following day back to the same mileage 400,xxx.
(Odometer miles AND trip meter)
i recently purchased the truck, any ideas to how to fix this?
Not sure if related but the truck does have a “tune”
Odometer miles reset

Ground hog day! so if you just bought the truck I would say fraud has been committed here, did the seller give you an odometer statement saying that the miles were accurate? chances are that truck has couple hundred thousand miles more on it. I can be fixed but I believe the whole computer needs to be replaced.

however I have service records from mack dealership that I did confirm al the way up until a few weeks before I purchased the truck. -
Know a guy who did that to a truck.
Ran it for years.
Probably had a million miles on it maybe more, but odometer read 556k. -
Any clue how he did it so I can undo it lol.
The accuracy of the mileage is not my concern.feldsforever Thanks this. -
Some kind of memory chip in the instrument cluster.. I can’t remember exactly it’s been several years ago, and he died in a vehicle accident.. but I know he did it and the semi he owned was sold after his death

Go to the dealer, only the dealer and get an ECM dump printed out. See what the mileage is. Tell them what's going on.

Since it’s a 2014 I assume your using elog?? If so go to inspection part and see if ecm mileage changes daily or resets as well. It might give you a clue where to look

I don’t use elog, it’s a daycab and I stay local. Anyother way to check if the ECM is counting the miles?

Elog puts a mileage at every driving shift change its get it from ecm. My ecm and dash don’t match because cluster was changed. I was just curious if it was your dash messing up or ecm programmed funky.
feldsforever Thanks this.
