Orientation Van Buren

Made it thru day 1 of orientation, Some had physicals some road tests sure were a lot of potential drivers there today, hope they have room for this many people that need trainers and trucks several people went home today felt sorry for them but thats how it goes, all in all it was a good day
glad the road test is behind me looking forward to tommorrow, so far so good.

 

Physicals today, more roadtests and lots more paperwork, a great bunch of people so far, lost some more students today but thats expected. They treat us well and feed us pretty good and the accomodations are ok, looking forward to tommorrow and completion on Thursday hopefully we'll
get trainers soon after that we will have to wait and see.

 

the road test for students is done at their terminal small course with some barrels stay close to the barrels in the paint your score will be good, front bumper stop, rear bumper stop, trailer tandem scale stop, alley dock, etc
they will help you if you need it for the most part no to difficult.

 

Sorry i guess i didnt explain that very well, ill try to do better anyway today was more paperwork, then logs, fuel conservation, smith system includes another test drive calling out all potential problems and signs etc
some people had personal interviews today, they said we are the biggest class thet have ever had in the history of USA Truck approx 85 new people. 1 more day to go supposed to be done at 3:30 tommorrow then we will see what happens from there, do we stay in the dorms or go meet trainers elsewhere or will they come by the terminal and pick us up? Remains to be seen but with all the people everything is going really well.

 

well day3 is here and we did smith system and more logs and then personal interview and graduated currently waiting on my trainer should be heading out tommorrow a.m. really looking forward to it. It has been a really good experience so far. Not really much to judge from but i have been to other orientations and i like this one better, Thanks to all for the good info on this site wish me luck I hope I'm getting a good trainer will see soon enough. I'll keep you posted. Any advice for me is greatly appreciated.
