Anybody know how properly dispose of NOS DEF, and Defendel in totes. At least 3-4 years old. Unfortunately they sat outside in Midland Texas, most of last summer.

Your local dump will probably have an area for hazmat drop off. I'd give them a call and check.

Many totes? That's a little too much to use a fertilizer, at A persona use level.

That stuff is safe right? Dump them down the drain. It turns all bad things into good. It’s the cure to all environmental issues I was told. Did someone BS me?

    phone a farmer
he can top-dress a field or even his garden. some farmers tank-mix herbicides with liquid nitrogen fertilizer(28-0-0) and def is the same thing only 32-0-0 but will need to be pump agitated for a minimum of 24 hours per year sitting. pump should be100 gph.

Shouldn't that stuff be good for the environment? What the hell are we using it for if it isn't!?

It is another use for one type of liquid fertilizer. Unfortunately it is the type that does promote algae and aquatic plant growth in waterways if not processed through dirt based plants first. It is basically a water/nitrogen formula made from dry urea, anhydrous ammonia and water. the nitrogen is one of the trinity of things plants need to grow.
DEF is an expensive product to use on plants but when outdated (where the urea settles out) product can no longer be used in an engine this is a good way to dispose of it.
Please do not dump it anywhere near any waterways. nothing that promotes growth should be used within 100 feet of fresh or salt water.
