Question about Ammo...

It absolutely depends on what states you're traveling through. Going through NJ and get caught? You'll be arrested. Honestly, you need to check the regulations of each state you're traveling through, as well as the cities. Gawd, I'd hate to be caught in Chicago with a box of rounds in my possession.

I believe Chicago doesn't have any law regarding transporting ammo, But Chicago has restrict ammo to be ship into chicago, like for example if you order online, u can't ship it into chicago, or cook country.

Driving into Illinois, I don't see a problem with ammo...

Until they say you're not transporting it as part of a load, that you have it in the cab so you're there to sell it or give it to someone illegally. Honestly, I wouldn't trust anyone in Chicago or New Jersey not to try and give a guy as much of a problem as they can manage.

People come and go from Chicago with ammo all the time, including me. Obviously if you have a firearm to go with that ammo u need a foid card.

I have a copy of this brochure just in case a officer ask about if I'm transporting it legally

Doesn't matter if the office think you're selling it or giving it to someone, there's some states that don't keep record of ammo sell. There's no law on how much ammo someone can have
