Our manage will say to take it after 8 hours since that's all that's legally required, but I just ignore him he's insane if he think Im gonnna average 3-4 stops an hour in the Florida heat without at least sitting for a sec. Honestly it's not having a lunch that bothers me hes just a pain to do a "time exception" to pay me for that 30mins extra.
Ignore all the spelling grammar errors my phone likes to type it's own thoughtsLast edited: Oct 20, 2018
Mike2633, Cardfan89 and Fuelinmyveins Thank this. -
Did they make room for McLane on the straight truck as well?Fuelinmyveins Thanks this.

Someone else is going to Mclane that day
very funny

If they stack one pallet on top of the other I bet they can make McLane fit.Fuelinmyveins Thanks this.

8 stops left at 2:30....
That sucks. Late start, or delayed somewhere?Fuelinmyveins and Mike2633 Thank this. -
Speaking of straight trucks. Mclane Grocery in my area is experimenting with them. So they can do conveince stores in the day time. My buddy did 3 days and made 1500 at his pay level. He said it was easy and he loved it. I guess since it’s hard to find CDL A drivers it’s easier to find a class b driver is the thought process behind it. Reddaway also started using straight trucks when I left cause of the driver shortage and low wage.Fuelinmyveins and Mike2633 Thank this.

I did a early morning run. I supply Estes straight truck division and a local lumber yard.
Essentially two customers share the volume of an entire 53 - sometimes Estes gets a whole 53.
So that takes me 2ish hours then I do my normal route. I was delivering in cape Coral Florida that day, which is one of Florida largest cities by land mass.
It's a lot of driving, and then the industrial park is so tight you have to drive down alleys at 1mph. Had 21 stops. I ended up delivering 20 and doing 2 pick ups.Fuelinmyveins and Mike2633 Thank this. -
Ive seen those on I-71 down around Wilmington, Ohio.Fuelinmyveins and Radman Thank this.

We have 1 straight truck at our warehouse and I guess, they were looking for a cargo van driver at our warehouse to do a 1 or 2 day van route. It's not a bad job being the van driver it's like $20.00 an hour and you get benefits and everything.
