Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
From the New Mexico section on this site:
Lalabahada?
Correct spelling is La Bajada Hill. At least the author got Tijeras right.
Our chain laws are pretty relaxed since NM DOT will usually just close the highway before they require chains.dca and double yellow Thank this. -
Not long.

Lalabahada sounds more exotic, kinda like Yoknapatawpha

on snow, at 10 mph or less, about 10 miles, on dry pavement, about 50 ft.blairandgretchen Thanks this.

Wow! That bad?

Left front, right rear duals are the primary drive axles, right? The ATC function will do - what? I have no wish to chain, but I put enough sets on (12) for all drives and some follower chains, which are required by some jurisdictions. I didn't buy any super single chains, and some trailers run them. One driver told me he unhooks to chain up, which I think is a good idea - if your trailer doesn't get adventurous and set off down the hill on it's own. Getting down there and fastening and tightening those inside links can be a real pain in the backside. Cold, too.

12 drive tires?
My tire chains have adjustments only on outside of tire.Starboyjim Thanks this. -
I'm from New Mexico and I've never heard of that hill, lol!
