All of you guys complaining about pay... Have you never heard of a spreadsheet? Or account payable, or accounts receivable? As a business owner, if you are not tracking what is owed and what is paid how can you blame Swift for your failing as a business owner? It's simple, I did it (and a very simplified version even in my current job) as a company driver.Simply record the trip and all expenses incurred. Once paid mark it as paid and move on. If Swift tries to charge again simply look up trip number, find which check it was paid on and sent to Swift's accounts payable for proof it's been paid out. My guess is it never was, you didn't track your earnings vs. revenue and already spent the money you owed Swift.
Common people, it's basic business ownership. Hell, I've never owned a business and even I know the most important thing is to track revenue vs. expenses so you know how much money you have.
Swift? Don't do it

I did that. But when they say they forgot to put things on your settlement like fuel and hit u over and over again. When u fight with them for reimbursements you never get back? They refuse to pay out, what is a driver to do?

Sigh ... 3K miles a week? Always negative? On a Swift lease, at 3000 miles a week you should be pulling $1500 to $1700 a week and that's after you put $.10 away in your maintenance account. You can take 2 weeks off straight and still break even on your first week back, not negative.
And the fuel thing, of course you pay for the fuel. It's your business, your truck. And if for some reason they don't collect the money for fuel one week and collect it another - so what? You got extra cash the week they didn't take the fuel. Simple accounting. Now that said in over 6 years, there's been one time that fuel didn't get accounted for the week it was purchased. That was company wide and was a ComData glitch. And for the idiots that couldn't properly manage tier accounting, Swift went out of their way and broke up the reimbursement over a period of time.
Bottom line to be as screwed up as you claim, one would actually have to work at it. -
Where did the money go that they did not take out? You should have it still because you know it would eventually come out.

This guy is just trolling. It's pretty obvious

In order to prevent the company you're leased to to steal or overcharge the fuel you bought on the company card, pay cash for your fuel or use your own business fuel card. This way Swift has no way to all of a sudden remember they forgot to charge you $1100 from a few weeks ago.

Dont get me wrong I know no Carrier is perfect... However obviously you know your first mistake was lease Purchase... Second have you run a business before? Did you understand what you got into? I hope its a walk away lease.... Switch to a company driver and don't look back... Lastly never ever lease again..... I know I am Captain Obvious.. Point is this is what you made it. Always stand your ground and never give up. Until you are in complete understanding of your situation.
Kumgetsum365 and Pnwtrucker Thank this. -
Not keeping detailed records of your expenses vs profits is a bad idea. If you have all this recorded there is no way they can take these "forgotten charges" you show them and that's it. Good luck to you driver
