@A21CAV the original poster may not have known what questions to ask. I certainly did not know which questions to ask when I started working for Swift. I asked how many miles other drivers were getting, and I asked the recruiter with my mileage rate would be. I'm getting paid one cent less than the recruiter said and I am getting the same amount of miles that other drivers told me they were getting. But I had no idea that there was a whole "system" relating to how getting paid works. I, like the original poster probably felt, thought that we had reasonable assurances that we knew what we would be getting paid. As it stands, I am getting paid what I thought I would be. But I had no idea they would be screwing me out of layover, detention, and miles as often as possible, or that they would work their hardest to get me home late and change the rules on me every chance they got. That's where the scam lies.

There is hope now! All these deceptive practices that cheat drivers out of their hard earned pay will end now that Knight is in charge.

Hazmat is worse, mileage is computed the same way,and you have to bypass major cities, really not worth the extra $50.

A union would fix the problem. Recently in Quebec 175,000 trades workers went on strike for a week. Shut down all construction. Quebec is really really big. That straightened out "issues"
csmith1281 Thanks this.
