I got a ticket for not having a flyer with instructions to my e log.
I pay for legal trucker plan, costs me $100 to fight a ticket. Would it be worth the trouble fighting this? What are the chances they would drop it with no fine. Would it be worth the hit on my CSA score?
Ticket for not have e log instructions.

Fight it. Always.

You probably will lose. It's mandatory to have those instructions with e-logs.d281833 Thanks this.

It's just another technicality 'got ya' line item, why do you need instructions if you already know how to use e-logs? The COPs are abusing the spirit of the laws.
Tombstone69, mitmaks and singlescrewshaker Thank this. -
Because there lots of different elogs on the market, and cops aren't familiar with all of them. Easy enough to comply, Just keep it with your registration.
PE_T, Tb0n3, 86scotty and 1 other person Thank this. -
Because it’s the law.

All the cop got to do was to ask the driver to email the log, easy enough. Why aren't cops enforcing (actually refusing to enforce) immigration laws vigorously as dot laws? Both are federal laws.
ACO476, Bean Jr., DenBob and 1 other person Thank this. -
And all the driver had to do was carry the instructions like the law requires. Easy enough
Tb0n3 Thanks this. -
Because immigration laws is not there issue, and DOT laws are.PE_T, 86scotty, Bean Jr. and 1 other person Thank this.

Now, when they can't get too many cheating on line 2, they try to get, otherwise compliant people on some Mickey Mouse ####; not having instructions, tablet not mounted properly, ... making a big deal out of it. What the f... else? A...holes!
PE_T and singlescrewshaker Thank this.
