So I have read a few threads about this company. I have also talked with a buddy of mine that got out and went to work with them. From my understanding this is a company that is very veteran friendly and almost has a Military mind set (dont walk on the grass, vehicle inspections, by the numbers load securement, No earrings) where have I heard all this before? But anyway I want to hear from other veterans on this company and other companies I should consider.

Oh and I will clarify when I say veterans I'm talking about real veterans who have served in the military not somebody that has been in a truck for 30 years and considers them self a veteran of the road.

The company is “military friendly” because a vast portion that go into the company to get their CDL with them qualify TMC for money from Uncle Sam with VA benefits. They put a sticker on your truck for the Branch you were in and that’s about as military friendly as they get.

TMC makes alot of money from veterans coming through their schooling.

There not a company in the country that isn’t friendly to veterans.

TMC tends to hire drivers that are HWP and in shape. They like the clean cut appearance. They take a lot of pride in the black and chrome. As has been mentioned, there are other companies that are veteran friendly. Millis charges veterans $1000 in tuition versus the $2450 paid by non veterans.

When a company tells me how military friendly they are, I ask them if the pay vets for Veteran's day.
So far, I haven’t found a friendly one yet

The US Post Office. It's one of their paid holidays.
