Reputation is pretty good as far as pay and home time plus excellent equipment.

Tarping Marine Corps
Take my ####
A coworker used to drive for them...& we have discussed his experiences there extensively.
You will tarp A LOT of your loads.
Never mind whether or not it's truly needed.
Much like Maverick Transportation -- they have a division for glass hauling....& another division for transporting watercraft.
You will drive what is easily some of the best looking equipment on the road -- & especially for a "trainer" company.
To properly load trailers -- you will need some proficiency at basic math.
You need to be able to add, subtract, multiple & divide....to be a decent truck driver.

77fib77, Sons Hero, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this. -
You ever pulled a spread axle? If not, that may be why they want the math test.

Math in flatbed…
There’s 26 pallets of product. They weigh 1,750 lbs each. Including pallet weight
The pallets are standard 48” long by 40” wide
Will it fit?
Can you haul it if your truck weighs… 35k empty full of fuel?Lonesome and nextgentrucker Thank this. -
No?
That's 80,500.
Illegal loadLonesome Thanks this. -
Walk Among Us Thanks this.

And how long is the flatbed? 26 pallets should fit stacked

If TMC can train one driver, they know how to train most drivers. Pro-Tip: it's easier to learn things if you don't spend 90% of the time the instructor is talking saying "this is nuts, are they crazy, this is impossible, I'll never learn this, etc., etc.in your head" until he stops talking.
They will tell you & they will show you & you can ask for help. Once you learn it, you can practice until you are comfortable.
It's probably going to be something like divide the gross weight of the cargo by the length of load so you can center the load on the trailer. Or it might be divide the weight of the cargo by the weight limit of the straps to decide how many straps are necessary. Don't make it a big deal.
