Kenworth t2000. I want to remove the top cap and turn the truck to a midroof.

The top is hollow and it appears to have 4 bolts on each side and 6 in the front. Is that it? Is there a bracket on the inside thats going to give me trouble?

Once I do get it off, what will it weigh? Anyone done this?

There is a good resent post simular to that but I can not find it. Unbolt it and about four men tote it off the back of the cab. The hard part is if the bolts won't come out and sealing the holes so they don't leak.

I believe the fairing bolts to the tabs on the roof. You can either cut the tabs off flush, or leave them for future replacement if needed.

I own a stunningly beautiful T2000 also, and had considered it, but for the reason of parking it in the shop (clearance).

I've seen them without, and it doesn't help the lines, in my opinion.

I thought about aerodynamic( I pull flat), but dismissed the idea with better things to do.

Every time I think about it, I simply start shopping for trucks like @Old Man has. Keeps me entertained.
