Shame they were a good company until they got greedy and turned into another fleece purchase training scam company

Nothing good about this company has been shared in the last 10 years. All they are is a bottom feeder that preys on stupidity.

They’ve been known to be a shady fleece purchase company for well over a decade!
Even going so far as to apparently put “plants” in the classrooms to see who would be excellent candidates for their lease purchase programs.

I’ve yet to see ANY of their trucks exceed 63 mph on the highway, but the stories have been the same-drivers start out getting good loads to pay down the note, and then as it gets closer to paying off that note the drivers start getting “starved out”,the loads get fewer and far in between, with not as many miles and not as much pay, until it comes to a point where the truck is repo’d!

    Rinse,cycle and repeat!

I worked for Transam 2023. It’s a bottom of the barrel company. Most drivers are felons because they hire felons they also don’t do hair follicle this is their main appeal as a second chance company. Also a lot of south Florida drivers because it’s hard getting a job out of south Florida with no experience. The first three months 31 cents a mile they often had to add pay to my check to make it minimum wage but I did get paid minimum wage. Took a few months to learn the ropes they expect no more than a 12 hour reset even if you are getting up at 1 a.m. or whatever and run recaps. I got some big bonuses they do the $1,000 weekly pay bonus once a month sometimes you get screwed out of it sometimes it’s your own fault but if you run good you usually get it. Lease drivers get the choice loads. Equipment in bad shape. Even being bottom of the barrel it’s better than working at McDonald’s and they have a couple million milers. The biggest problem is people get hired with little training and don’t know the ropes only make $300 or $400 a week for a couple months say that the company sucks and quit. I talked to lease drivers who usually make $2,000 a week after expenses but do get bad weeks where they make zero. All the people quitting making $300 a week are new drivers though experienced drivers complained the miles or pay maybe not as good as some other places. I did six months and went to another bottom of the barrel company but making $1200 a week at Pam. So you can be successful at any of these companies but it’s really hard starting out and usually they don’t pay anything your first three months due to you being a high risk. Transam does have problems but it wasn’t as bad as the online reviews. Online reviews are an exaggeration of reality. There is a seed of truth but it’s not terrible. They mainly had me do the same lane back and forth from Iowa to Pennsylvania or New Jersey and I got around 2,400 miles a week on average. Lots of waiting 8 hours to get unloaded, trying to pay lumper fees every one needs a different process to get paid sometimes fooling around 6 hours trying to pay a lumper seemingly no one knows how to do it can’t get ahold of the company but after a while you figure it out. 95% of the time you go to the same places after 3-6 months you’ll know most of the places they send you. Lots of long loads with them. Average load is like 1200 miles. If you have felonies or need to start somewhere it’s an opportunity but it’s at the bottom of the pay scale and other things like old beat up trailers.
