Those team trucks aren’t too far behind Amazon, for worst drivers.

You know things are getting bad when UPS starts joining the crowd of dangerous losers.

That has not been my experience at all. FedEx has always been horrible but UPS is/was top notch IMO.

Back before ELD’s it was somewhat common to see them wadded up in the ditch when I lived in Montana. They’d sit around the cafe in Deer Lodge with their buddies until they absolutely had to leave to make their switch at Dubois ID. Sometimes they’d make it, sometimes they wouldn’t.

TheLoadOut and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.

That is sad! We have all probably been in a jam or bind. Opened my eyes on I 24 around Madisonville Ky. It was the wee hours and I was running 90. I was centered on the white line. Glad no one was parked on the shoulder.
Took a trailer to one of the tank places in Spartanburg. A little extra money as I had worked in the shop all day. I had learned that if you cannot stay awake get your ### off the road. Pulled in one of those parking areas on I 26. It was full and trucks parked on the LH side. I went past them and backed in. The 9670 had a sleeper but I opted for a steering wheel nap because I needed to be at work in the morning. It was cold and the engine was running.
Another truck came in with the same problem. Backed right up in front of me and set the parking brake. That woke me up with brake lights 10 feet in front of me. I could not push the brake pedal though the floor or pull the steering wheel out of the dash. I was wide awake then and went on.
Hope all got your jollies out of that but point being: If you cannot stay awake get your ### off the road. It is just not about you or the load.
Can someone insert what would you do if this happened to you. Jerry Clower and Mercel Ledbetter?
