Someone apparently hit me as they were pulling out when I woke up this morning. Either that or they did it on purpose. I would rather pay out of pocket to have it fixed. I don’t need anything else on my record with my company. Anyone have experience getting this fixed?

Some type of fast set 2 part epoxy. Put on the epoxy, wrap a couple of rounds of duct tape till it sets (about 15-30 min) unwrap tape and there ya go. Could also use zip ties in lieu of the tape.

Go get a dash cam with side cameras, then you can let your company deal with it.

He can't prove he didn't do it, so safety will hit him with and "incident."
@Ridgeline Post #6 is the only way to show what happened.

While i agree in principle. If there is no way to prove he didnt do it, Then in most companys. Well you did it and they WILL slap you with punishments and black marks.

On the other hand honesty goes a long way too and if they find a slipshod repair later its going to cost you. If it was me and i was that worried, personally id stop at a junkyard like a vanderhaggs and buy a used replacement in good shape and just swap it. Or barring that get a new one. Hood mirrors arent THAT expensive.

That looks like a paccar mirror on a kenworth so.

$150 new plus you can get them used for around $50-70. That way there is no chance of a blowback on you if the company finds a "cover-up" repair. They are also dead simple to install and if you cant you can go to a loves or something and they can do it for an hours labor.

Hell you could even talk them them and say "hay guy clipped me pulling out last night. Camera didnt catch it and i cant prove it so let me pay for the mirror and we can pretend this didnt happen yea?" And many companys will shrug take the money and forget about it. Though some megas likely wont.

By his own admission he already has some stuff on his record so he may be worried the company won't believe him.
