An odd case of not only ‘whodunnit’ but also ‘whatdunnit’ and ‘wheredunnit’ has authorities scratching their heads. One police investigator said that the case of the dead body on top of a semi’s trailer is the weirdest thing he’s seen in 20 years on the job.
At around 6:00am on Thursday morning, a mail carrier pulled his rig into a USPS building in Grand Junction, CO. A short time later, an employee noticed what they thought was a man asleep on top of the trailer.
When the police arrived, they found that the man was deceased. But the driver of the vehicle had no idea how the man got there. When police looked into it, it turned out that the trailer had been hauled by a different rig from Kansas overnight. The trailer then was dropped in Glenwood Springs, hooked up to another rig, and continued on to Grand Junction.
The trucker who drove the leg from Kansas told police that he had heard a loud noise as he was passing under an overpass on I-70 near Wheat Ridge, just outside of Denver. That’s some 240 miles away from Grand Junction along winding mountain highways the whole way.
Wheat Ridge Police are handling the investigation.
We will update this article as we get more information!

Somebody took making a selfie a bit too far?
Souldog says
If he heard a loud noise why he didn’t pull over and the body would of fell thru the roof of the trailer huh?
Michael C says
Why would the body have fallen through the roof of the trailer if he had pulled over? It didn’t fall through the roof when the truck pulled into the switching point at Glenwood Springs. It didn’t fall through the roof when the trailer arrived at Grand junction. From the ground he would not have been able to see the body, and mail trailers are sealed. Breaking that seal without authorization is a Federal felony.

not really , all HCR trailers are locked and sealed so if he heard and loud noise all he could do is view the sides and rear of the trailer . I drive as an HCR driver from postal facility to postal facility that’s how I know .
Cherokee says
With the aluminum roofs not necessarily. Fiberglass roof he would have went through it.
Joe says
damm newbies.
That used to happen to me all the time.
Steve Hughart says
What dead bodies falling out of the sky on to your trailer?
Billy Jack Washburn says
I don’t think a dead body could lay on top of a trailer thru those twisted mountain curves without rolling off. Kinda impossible. You wouldn’t be able to hang on if it meant your life. Or it was one hellava slow poke driver.
James Holder says
Very different
Steven Johnson says
Snail mail.
Curtis Frierson says
Rigermorteous..
Kept the body in ONE SPOT!!@@
Katie Johnson says
A hitchhiker got tired of standing on the side of the road and nobody picked him up. He was just trying a different approach.

VERY STRANGE INDEED…
Joe trucker says
Dont no if a body could or would have stayed on top of trailer or not. However can think of many many times I’ve heard a noise while driving the past 30 years. Looked in mirrors didnt see anything, even pulled over and did a walk around and didnt see anything. Dont have xray vision so would see a body on top of trailer.

A pre Madonna didn’t do a very thorough pre trip and forgot the post trip sounds like a mike I worked with.
Bear says
Dam dude do u pre & post trip the TOPS of trailer !? Lol
If I see a tree limb etc. I’ll do the best I can to get it but the thing is that never really happens to me because I don’t drive through trees LOL.
If snow is up there then oh well I’ll drive a few short miles with my four ways on to warn cars behind me but that’s it.
Sara says
You mean I’m suppose to climb on top of my trailer when I do a pre trip? I’m sorry I didn’t know. No one told me.
B says
Side of your trailer pooping from the wind?
B says
popping
Reckoner says
The driver did it. No way a dead body could stay on top of a trailer for that many miles.
Joeziah says
For people who dont think it would stay up there, it could and would. Especially with good drivers. I can set a cup of coffee on my dash and drive across 70 west of denver and it will never slide or move.
Shaun Weaver says
Suicide: He either hesitated or miscalculated; the intent was to drop on the road in front of the TT to ensure success. Sad, but probably true.
Donald Trump Jr. says
Mail …so trailer probably locked with a tag. Not to many ways to climb up ontop of trailer.
Kelly says
Pooping!!! LMFAO))))
David says
Might of pee peed in his pants after dying and if they were going thru the mountains could of froze to the sheet metal. Lol
Sara says
Dam a frozen stiff. Anyone of you plan on chipping him off?
Andrew H says
I had to deal with disgruntled coworkers before, but that’s a first. Just stick ’em up there and nobody’s the wiser. Surprised a 13’8 didn’t peel the body off.
John says
I thought the same thing. How many bridges did all of the drivers pass under?
John says
Another skydiving incident gone wrong?
Luke WINKELS says
A body falling from a bridge onto an aluminum roof would put a decent dent into the roof panel, and along with being lifeless could surprisingly stick quite well on top of a steady drivers trailer.
Sara says
It sounds like the dude jumped onto the trailer from the over pass and hit a bit too hard perhaps his head first. It’s just not like in the movies.
Sara says
It’s a who done it mystery murder. This calls for Sherlock Holmes. Who out there wants to play detective? And where’s his ID ?
Sara says
Did anyone one of you see it happen. No one at all? Case closed.
Sara says
Does this have anything to do with gorilla glue?
Sara says
My trailer is old and rusty. Nothing can penetrate all that rust because it’s bubbled for extra strength. And durability.
Gary F. Brown says
I just peed lmao reading all these comments. Sad this individual passed away somewhere somehow. Hope he or she didn’t pee and get stuck
