I've only been to Calif-ya twice in my life....certainly not often enough to justify the expense downgrading the reliability of my equipment in order to meet their arbitrary standards.

Cali is Kryptonite for O/O's. It's at the border, come get it.

I will do nothing until I absolutely have to. Basic game theory holds that you should not make a move if you can retain the option of making that move later. When CARB tells me I can't run my 2005 in Cali I will either retrofit, buy a newer truck (A DPF with no DEF will be good to 2023 & I should be about ready to retire then) or move to Idaho & find a job that will let me stay out of CA.

I'm still not convinced that this thing will fly come January.

Just bought a 2014 Volvo CARB compliant truck, but I make it a point not to go to California for any reason. Nothing but low paying freight, ridiculous speed limit, and a DOT that looks to truckers as rolling ATMs.

Nothing west of Dallas as far as I'm concerned except that rare Odessa, El Paso run.

I have mega $ LTL into Cali and decent $ produce loads back for a long time customer with my reefers , the odd flatbed load , and a few good dryvan loads now & then.

The Peoples' Republic of Kalifornia doesn't want me? Oh, no, what will I do?

Seriously, I'd have to be pretty hungry to have any interest, anyway. And I'll be too old to drive a truck long before I'm too old to fish.
