| Barr-Nunn bit the hand that feed them I'm usually the forgiving type. Barr-Nunn went too far. I had a dental problem crop up while in Chicago area. I told afterhours I needed a load home.(It was 1:30 am and the pain was not nice) I live close to Omaha, NE. It took Barr-Nunn 3 days to get me home to seek help. This was just the crown on the garbage I went though since the first of the year. My recommendation is to not work for this company. I no longer do. Facts: East of missippi river only, O/O have priority, Forced dispatch, Your a number not a person, good money per mile, Rand Mcnally Practical miles (on loaded only, not deadhead)<this is still not what you drive, Band Pay only on loaded milage- Band doesnt pay on deadhead. Layover often and if load planning can get you moving in 23.75 hrs - No layover pay. These are some of the secrets they dont want you to know.

| [quote=skipshiftslipshift;223833]Hey Eagle - I was thinking about Barr-Nunn's NE Regional salaried at $975 a week. Any other details - bad or good - you care to share. Kind of the working guts of the company. At salaried rate I don't care if I am parked, MT, or going 15MPH on I95. Couldn't really tell you. I was an OTR driver. I have talked to some of the midwest regional drivers though and if you do, you wont be staying in your region. If I were you though, I would be talking to other drivers with the company doing the same thing. They could tell you better.

| Well I'm thinking about Barr-Nunn. Thanks for heads up about the practical route miles loaded only. The pay rates just seemed too good to be true. What bothers me though is the east of Mississippi only! Man I want 48 states! My last company was basically just Southeast and Northeast. Yeah I'd get to go to Dallas or Chicago sometimes, but I want to see California eventually! I don't expect Barr-Nunn to be perfect, but from what I understand turnover is around 80-90%. That's about what my last company's turnover was before the Covenant buyout. How often did they send you to Atlanta? I hate Atlanta, and I know that Barr-Nunn doesn't have a terminal or drop yard there for decent parking. MAN I HATE ATLANTA TRUCKSTOPS! RIGHT UP THERE WITH DALLAS! |

| B careful Quote:
The turnover jumped up to around 80% because theyve changed rules (not for the better)since the first of the year. Before that, turn over was extremely low.(40-50%) I'm triing out a smaller company that does go to 48 states. I'll take less $$$$, but way more milage and faster.

| Changed rules The one that stands out predominate is that when I started they were non-forced dispatch. Since the first of the year they went to Forced. I also just got their last news letter. No pets allowed on any company trucks. There are other rules that changed. little ones that kind of prick on you but you just let them go. I'd have to look them up for the saved news letters and I really don't want to. I'm triing to move on and forget this company.

| I too worked for this sorry company for 4 months. Simply put they are just no good. In the 4 months, the best paycheck i had was $353. My last paycheck was $0.00 because I didnt run 60,000 miles and if you dont run 60,000 miles you have to repay orientation fees. I ask them to send me an itemized bill for the fees but I'm still waiting on it. That was 8 months ago, but it took them 3 days to report me to D.A.C. Luckily my new employer is a good one who understands how the bad companies try to make the driver look bad. I would recommend everyone stay clear of these people. |

| how can they o that ? this is the worst Ive seen ,making you to pay them for orientation what a rip off id sue them there differently on my bad list to stay away .if you don't get 2500 miles week you better look for another job. |
