I checked into them but apparently living in Brooklyn it wouldn't work too well. I see them all the time at Boars Head and got curious.

Fat Tommy and his pals were made available to the industry because they were and are incompetent and arrogant , the same reason his was made available from Campos. Tommy always has been and always will be a self important arrogant D....head. Calex has a long history of mistreating and nickel and dimeing drivers hell even his father couldn't work with him and quit.

Calex is a third rate company. They lost so many good drivers because of poor management and garbage equipment. I know first hand how many people wanted to off Ray Redmond the maintenance head. He seriously screwed a lot of people and never cared. It's a shame. It once was a decent company with humans.

Ok, I haven't posted in here for over a year. I put this to bed when I left Calex in March of '13. But I'm back for one last post. I'm going to post an issue I had arise with them that completely threw me for a loop. When I'm done, I am putting this to sleep yet again.

When I got to Calex for orientation back in August of '09, it was your typical process, same physical, same videos and same paperwork. The important part to me is the financial part, the direct deposit.

Since the day my wife and I opened our used car lot, she making six figures every year in real estate, and me making the same, we had investments and retirement accounts set up for years.

At any company I've worked for, I've always declined any type of savings or 401k's. I just don't need them. When I signed all the paperwork at Calex, there was absolutely nothing I signed for giving the company any authorization to payroll deduct one dime for a 401k.

Fast forward to May of this year. I recieve in the mail, a financial statement from some company that says I have $450.38 in some account. It was addressed to me at Calex's address in Pittston Pa. Someone at Calex forwarded it to me at my house, one that my wife and I have been living in for the last 14 years.

After some research, and phone calls to the company that is investing this money, red flags start being raised. The first being, I never signed up for this. The second, someone at Calex used my SS # and deducted money out of my pay every week. I was told to download a form, fill it out and get it signed off by the Administrator, Thomas Grimes, the COO of Calex. I did this, sent it through snail mail certified return receipt requested. A week later I get it back, refused. I'm now really pissed off. Someone out there with some account, had my name, my SS# and my address. I went and checked every one of my pay stubs from Calex, not one had any line for payroll deduction.

I called up there, and like any company, there's a layer of protection that stops people like me the ability to get to the source. I spoke to Brian in safety and explained to him he issue. I'll take care of it I was told, bull, all I got was the car salesman lip service.

My deepest concern was having some interest bearing account out there in my name that I'm not including in my tax return.

After a week of nothing, I called my attorney, explained to him what was going on, and could he get involved. He did, he immediately fired off a letter. 10 days later I had a check in the mail for $280.25. I called the company that had the account and was told that my information, especially my SS# was out of their system.

In the end, this cost me $500 for my Lawyer, so the net result was I got nothing, which is fine with me. I try and not pass judgement on people, but there's some shady dealings going on up there in Pittston. You just have to consider the source.

    Once again..........

    The End!
