Is that as easy as hauling a 53ft trailer?I had an hr long interview with a fed ex contractor this morning and went very well.First thing he said is he appreciates my honesty that's what im looking for.I told him about my job history. He said my app has to go thru fed ex for final approval which mainly they'll be looking at my MVR not job history. If all goes well ill start this Monday. He would go with me the first time.Im just wondering if doubles are easy to keep and maintain your lane like a regular trailer is?

They wiggle especially empty or light. They don't back well. They aren't all that bad.

Making a right turn with doubles is almost a nonevent. Being empty with a crosswind is the biggest problem with only two solutions. 1) slow down 2) park. Finding pull through parking spots can be challenging but if you are pulling FedEx you will learn where there is parking when you run the same roads all the time.

Been a while since i hauled them, but there not bad. Heavy pup always goes in the front. Im sure they will tell you that. Rrar pup tracks where your tractor goes. Sorry i can't be more helpful but its been about 10 years since i hauled them

We did doubles for a month. Agree with everything above. My least favorite part was trying to break them down. Those dollies are heavy.

Yes they are (Heavy). Man handle them in the ice and snow a few times and you will start practicing backing them up when hooked to lead box, and before you know it you will have it. That is one of the things I miss about my previous employer is all the backing I had to do with a dolly hooked to lead trailer.
