Wow !!!
U jumping off cause some one stated an opinion ... What's your deal ?
If you can defend the stance then do so. Geez ...
If you were talking to me directly about the 3000k sign on bonus
Here is my stance ... It's not negative
It's an opinion
If a company has to pay you to come on board and lease.. My OPINION is it can't be that good and or they cannot retain their current driver work force
That's an OPINION
It could be
Comtrack hit the freight lottery and are giving some of it away
I don't know ....
Most post on this entire board is an OPINION

Tell us more about it and quit throwing a 2 yr old fit if someone challenges you
It's is most of our experiences that folks post some false info here ... Meaning recruiters
So state your claim -
My uncle drove O/O for Comtrak some years back...Said that the company was a great outfit and such..He just wanted to step up the challenge an haul cars to do something different.

I see they have a terminal in Stockton CA, if not for this thread I would not have known about them. Will be looking them up in the near future for possible employment in my hometown!

I have a friend whos father drives for comtrax, been with them probably 20 yrs. He told me he was happy with them, that he only goes as far as he wants. He is home every night. According to him you will not get rich, but you can make a fair living.

Any Comtrak guys around to give any info?

Been with Comtrak for 2yrs. I 'm sure that I can answer most of what fellow Owner Operators want to know about them. Comtrak is now planning to have all O/o converted to the new Qualcomm E log system by Dec 2011. Good buy to paper logs. Already some of the drivers do not like this! They pretty much keep us busy in this Depression economy. 1 or 2 loads a day is common. A third or 4th load for us local drivers is Gold! Many Food accts like Kraft, (Nabisco), General Mills. and Keebler to name a few. Many of the New guys are given those Heavy Paper Roll loads going to Wisconsin. Tolls not paid. We have many toll roads in and around Chicago and unfortunately the toll road is the fastest and sometimes shortest to and from the customer. Many drivers I know were not given their referral of $ 1000 for helping recruit an O/O. That's not good. We average about 47% of what the customer is charged. That's 47% of the Fuel Surcharge Too! Any other questions about Comtrak Logistics? Try to answer what I can.
scottied67 Thanks this. -
I talked to a Comtrak driver at the Publix DC in Jacksonville while we were waiting our 4 hours to get out of there. He's local. He said Comtrak was bought by the Hub group (big container company) so he has all the freight he needs. He goes into the port here alot, so he has to have his TWIC and port pass.
Anyway, he said he's making it alright and is about to pay off his truck. I have given serious thought to getting a used truck and signing on, but I will not go back over the road. I'll stay with CCC before I do that crap, so I won't post the Company driver info, although they have them also. Anybody wanting to can always go to their site and check that out.
